DESCRIPTION

Design, develop and deploy artificial intelligence (or deep learning) algorithm, process and software for computer vision based solutions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the key duties of this position and is not intended as an exhaustive list:

  • Translate customer requirements into technical design requirements
  • Developing AI software solutions appropriate for the requirement
  • Documentation of AI design solutions and implementations
  • Evaluate different AI architecture and implementations, and propose the most appropriate solution
  • Participation in peer reviews
  • Documentation of test plan
  • Execution of test plans
  • Issue tracking and resolutions
  • Identifying risks in the immediate area of design and work with project managers to proactively manage those risks
  • Work planning and tracking
The following are the key responsibilities of this position and is not intended as an exhaustive list:
  • Taking ownership of successful AI solution and implementation from requirements capture through to customer deployment and support
  • Provide regular progress reporting to your manager, project managers, project leads and stakeholders

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Master of Engineering/Science (or similar equivalent) or higher

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • At least 2 years experience with vision based artificial intelligence is desirable but not mandatory
  • Expert with convolutional neural networks (CNN)
  • Proficient in at least 1 or more programming languages: Python, C or C++
  • Familiar working with vision control systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to work independently with little or vague requirements or direction
  • Able to escalate impediments or risks with proposed solution or mitigations
  • Able to take the initiative to do what is required to deliver on committed deadlines

Computer Vision Engineer

Auckland, New Zealand


DESCRIPTION

Design, develop and deploy computer vision algorithm, process and software for computer vision based solutions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the key duties of this position and is not intended as an exhaustive list:

  • Translate customer requirements into technical design requirements
  • Developing computer vision capture solutions appropriate for the requirement
  • Documentation of computer vision design solutions and implementations
  • Evaluate different computer visioning architecture and implementations, and propose the most appropriate solution
  • Specify camera requirements and participate in the selection of cameras
  • Participation in peer reviews
  • Documentation of test plan
  • Execution of test plans
  • Issue tracking and resolutions
  • Identifying risks in the immediate area of design and work with project managers to proactively manage those risks
  • Work planning and tracking

Mechatronics Engineer or Hardware Engineer

Design, develop and deploy electronic and mechanical hardware for computer vision based solutions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the key duties of this position and is not intended as an exhaustive list:

  • Translate customer requirements into technical design requirements
  • Developing electronic hardware and mechanical hardware solutions appropriate for the requirement
  • Documentation of hardware design solutions and implementations
  • Evaluate different hardware and mechanical designs, and propose the most appropriate solution
  • Participation in peer reviews
  • Documentation of test plan
  • Execution of test plans
  • Issue tracking and resolutions
  • Identifying risks in the immediate area of design and work with project managers to proactively manage those risks
  • Work planning and tracking

  • Experienced in taking new hardware design into production (in-house or out-sourced)
  • Basic experience with mechanical design (sheet-metal, die-casting and injection moulded plastics)
  • Experienced with schematic simulation tools (PSpice or similar) and PCB CAD tools (Altium or similar)
  • Familiar with Mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to work independently with little or vague requirements or direction
  • Able to escalate impediments or risks with proposed solution or mitigations
  • Able to take the initiative to do what is required to deliver on committed deadlines

Project Manager

Auckland, New Zealand


DESCRIPTION

Manage the full life-cycle of projects to develop computer vision based solutions or products.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the key duties of this position and is not intended as an exhaustive list:

  • Customer requirement capture for new projects
  • Manage the project team to develop the product requirements, design requirements and test requirements for projects
  • Manage the project scope, project schedule and project financial through tracking, reporting and implementing counter-measures where necessary
  • Develop project specific processes, work-flow, tools or structure to enable successful delivery of projects
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the project team
  • Assisting the project team in resolving impediments
  • Proactive project risk management
  • Work with project team to understand the requirements, design the solution/product, test, production, product launch and ongoing operational support
  • Participation in technical design reviews
  • Documentation of project management plan
  • Execution of project management plan
  • Manage project team to track and resolve issues
  • Managing third party vendors or contractors to deliver on project requirements
  • Work planning and tracking
  • Keep project sponsor and stakeholders updated on project progress
  • Contribute to continuous PMO process and procedure improvements

  • Taking ownership of successful project initiation through to completion by delivering on agreed scope, schedule and cost

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Science (or similar equivalent) or higher
  • Project management qualification like PMI PMP, Prince2 or similar
  • Agile SCRUM Master certification is preferred but not mandatory

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • At least 2 years experience managing projects in product development
  • At least 5 years experience working in an engineering environment
  • Experienced with introducing new design into production (in-house or out-sourced)
  • Familiar with at least one of the following engineering disciplines: electronic, software or mechanical
  • Appreciation for system engineering principles especially design, integration and test
  • Able to logically approach problems to resolve them in a timely manner
